If you are a practicing physician, it is always difficult to leave and relocate. When you are ready to relocate, we will ask you several questions.

The purpose of these questions are designed to save you time and energy in the search process. It also provides us with a guideline to present opportunities that you would likely be interested in. It will also answer questions from our clients that they will have for you.

Below is an example of some of the questions:

  2. When would you like to start a new position?
  3. What states are you considering?
  4. Why these states?
  5. In what states are you licensed?
  6. Size of community desired?
  7. Who besides you will be involved in this decision?
  8. Any special facilities required?
  9. Any special interests outside of medicine?
  10. Tell us something about you that will help to highlight your qualifications?
  11. How many years have you been in practice?
  12. Are you Board Certified or Board Eligible?
  13. Any malpractice, felony, drugs or license issues
  14. What are your compensation and benefit requirements- such as salary and bonus, vacation time, CME time, moving/relocation cost, signing bonus.
  15. Would you like to be employed or have an income guarantee
  16. What type of practice are you looking for? MSG or SSG, Hospital Based,
    Solo Practice, etc.
  17. What type of a call schedule are you looking for?
  18. Any preference on the size of the hospital or anything in particular you are looking for in the hospital?
  19. What are the top 3 decision factors when looking for a new opportunity?
  20. How much notice would you need before you could visit a hospital
  21. Do you have anytime scheduled in the next 3 months that you have blocked off specifically for interviewing?
  22. Where are you currently interviewing and how far along are you?
  23. Do you have any offers or are you close to accepting any offers?
  24. When do you plan on making a decision on a new opportunity?

Many of our clients will send you home with a contract after a sight visit. How much time would you need after a visit to accept the offer assuming that you are interested in the opportunity.
